I started HHH in 2011 since I wasn't satisfied with the quality and variety of holsters on the market. Pure leather holsters eventually lost their shape and retention while pure Kydex holsters felt like a giant Lego pinching your side by the end of the day. And so from my garage in Ohio I started tinkering with both leather AND Kydex. After many iterations, I finally came up with something that worked for both my family and myself. And now a few years later, we've moved into a slightly larger building and have grown our holster family to over 20,000 strong.
I like this clip. It does not go all the way over the belt, but it pushes very firmly against the outside middle of the belt. This makes mounting and removing a little easier. I thought it was too short at first, but then I realized it was not designed to hook around the belt like other clips. The only negative I found was sharp edges at end of the top of the hinge. Not cut your fingers sharp, but a little annoying. Not really noticeable once you are wearing it. You may rub against it when drawing from the appendix holster, but not the OWB or IWB.
Thank you for your feedback. We understand. Sorry for any confusion. That clip is not designed to go over the belt. It actually clamps onto the waistband behind the belt. It was designed to be used without a belt or to hide behind the belt for better concealment. We typically recommend the Slim version of that clip for the more compact pistol models. Please try the clips behind the belt and if you would like to change the clips out to the slimmer model, please let us know.
